Rental Terms and Conditions: Triathlon Wetsuit

This document defines the terms and conditions for the rental of triathlon-specific swimming wetsuits between [Your Business/Organization Name] (the Lessor) and the client (the Lessee).

1. Pricing and Minimum Duration

• Daily Rate: $14 CAD per day.

• Minimum Duration: Rentals are subject to a minimum period of 4 consecutive days (minimum total amount of $56).

• Any partial day will be charged as a full day.

2. Reservation and Payment

• Reservations are confirmed only upon receipt of the full rental fee.

• A valid photo ID will be required at the time of equipment pickup.

3. Security Deposit

• A security deposit of $[Insert Amount, e.g., $250] (pre-authorization on credit card or cheque) is required at pickup.

• The deposit will be released upon return of the wetsuit, provided it is in its original condition.

4. Equipment Condition and Liability

• Inspection: The lessee acknowledges having inspected the wetsuit at the time of rental and confirms it is free of tears or major defects.

• Usage: The wetsuit must be used exclusively for open water swimming or triathlon. The use of petroleum-based lubricants (such as Vaseline) is strictly prohibited as they degrade neoprene. Only water-based or silicone-based lubricants are permitted.

• Damages: In the event of minor damage (fingernail nicks, small surface tears), a repair fee of $[Amount, e.g., $25] will be deducted from the deposit. In case of loss, theft, or damage rendering the wetsuit unusable, the full replacement value will be charged to the lessee.

5. Return of Equipment

• The wetsuit must be returned clean, rinsed with fresh water, and dry.

• Late Fees: Any unannounced delay in returning the equipment will result in a penalty of $[Amount, e.g., $20] per day, in addition to the standard daily rate.

Maintenance Tips (Included in Contract)

Important: To avoid damaging the neoprene with your fingernails while putting it on, we recommend using gloves or handling the material only with the pads of your fingers. Never dry the wetsuit in direct sunlight.
